菅かおる（かん　かおる）は、soda内に新設された、空中に浮かぶ不思議な小スペースでの初めての展示を 行います。菅は、この小空間に茶室の概念を引用し、作品と鑑賞者の対峙を促します。 空中に隔離された空間では、深海をテーマにした絵画作品が展示されます。そこでは、宇宙と深海の親和性 が示唆され、生命の根源とはという問いが投げかけられます。​

 

Kaoru Kan ‘Deep Sea in the Sky’

Kan will show her works in newly built mysterious small room floating in the air in soda.

Kan appropriates the concept of Japanese tea ceremony room (Cha-shitsu) to this small room and lets the viewers sit face to face to her painting. Kan’s paintings are suggesting the affinity between universe and deep sea, and asking where the origins of life come from.
